Nipper, the jack russell terrier famously pictured listening to a phonograph on the labels of the Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, HMV, RCA and JVC record companies, was born in 1884 in Bristol, England. The dog’s owner, Mark Henry Barraud, so named him because he liked to bite visitors.
